About Kate

Originally from the US, Kate moved to Paris in 2016 to pursue a doctoral degree. Her initial fascination with photography grew out of her academic work on autofiction, but it was her experience of "familiar strangeness" as a foreigner that led her to pick up a camera. Using photography to explore the boundaries between reality and fiction, Kate soon became known for her intimate stills of Parisian life. While completing her degree, she also began to work closely with other creatives as an art director and stylist.

Creative Approach

Kate's academic background and continued quest for artistic diversity define her creative approach. This unique foundation is particularly evident in her sensitivity to detail and the thoughtfulness of her compositions. Her use of reflections, textures and the juxtaposition of light and shadow evoke a narrative nostalgia that feels both personal and universal. Her images — moving and still — offer an intimate glimpse into the poetics of the ordinary, inviting the observer to imagine themselves as the protagonist of an unfolding story.
