This project was started by photographer, writer and stylist, Kate Devine. Kate is currently located in Paris, France where she moved to complete her doctoral degree in Women & Gender Studies examining 21st century autofiction.
Why Dear Everest?
Dear Everest started as a simple love letter, a love letter to everything that has ever seemed impossible, every alpine dream. It is intended to evoke the very act of reaching, and the acceptance that sometimes our desires, goals, and aspirations don't have to be reasonable to be nourished. Because of this, Dear Everest is and always will be a work in progress, the writing and photography found here are my attempt to document the voyage along the way.
